We have transferred the platform concept, which was initially developed in the 90ties in the past century in the automotive industry, into the design of mobile service robots. Our robots are built out of a set of re-usable, easily configurable and customizable components that enable us to address the special needs of customers quickly and at decent cost.
We have implemented the platform concept in a number of off- the- shelve robots. We use similar or identical component across different models of mobile robots each serving a specific task. The robots themselves can be easily scaled and adapted to the needs of customers in terms of payload, vehicle geometry, or design.
Our platform concept enables us also to address very specific customer requirements and design entirely new mobile service robots. The design ranges from mobile manipulators for research purposes to collaborative robots in manufacturing and logistics, which can semi-autonomously lift and transport heavy loads.
We have two business models for a collaborative development of new robots or applications jointly with our customers: Lot size 1 and Lot size 100. In the Lot size 1 model, we share development cost and ownership with a customer, if the developed technology fits to our portfolio. In the Lot size 100 model we carry the development cost by ourselves but expect a minimum order quantity of 100 customized robots. Customers who are not ready to purchase our robots can rent our off-the-shelve robots (Robot as a Service).
We are a fast-growing team of 14 robotic engineers (right now) with a background in mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, software engineering. Our engineers are supported by a very agile team assistants who is an allrounder and takes care of virtually everything which is not related to product development and engineering. All our graphics and visual design work is created by a very talented graphic designer.
